Dave was
the founding member of Horizon Engineering and now works as a consulting
engineer on special projects and report review. He holds BS and MS degrees
in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and is registered
in Mechanical and Environmental Engineering in the State of Oregon and
Mechanical Engineering in Washington State. His graduate work was done
under an EPA grant for training engineers in the air pollution field.
Course work included emission testing and controls, meteorology, health
effects, and a thesis measuring the reactivity of emissions of automobile
exhaust.
Shortly after completing the Masters program, he started doing emission
testing in 1972 for Glen Odell Consulting Engineers. Since then, he
has been involved with a variety of design and testing projects on boilers,
asphalt plants, wood stoves, ferrous and non-ferrous metal plants, food
processing, roofing manufacture, pulp and paper, other wood processing,
numerous other types of industrial plants, and some mobile equipment.
