Source Testing Field Personnel
Horizon Engineering is always looking for career positions for Source Testing Field Personnel. Horizon has field teams gathering data on industrial exhaust emissions in the Western US and Alaska.. The qualified applicant has a good mechanical aptitude, training in fluid flow, chemistry, and physics with an understanding of electronics. A degree in Engineering or Science is preferred but not considered necessary with demonstration of adequate education and experience.
Candidates that have QSTI (Qualified Source Test Individuals) credentials are highly desired. If you do not yet have your QSTI, preferably in Groups I-IV, you will be strongly encouraged to do so while employed at Horizon Engineering.
The qualified individual must be willing to travel 2-5 days/week, be comfortable working at heights, and should be very organized and meticulous. The position involves some heavy lifting (50-75 lbs.), overtime, and rigorous work in sometimes challenging environments.
This is, perhaps, the best tour of industrial facilities and processes in the Western US and Alaska. Engineers-in-Training will have the opportunity to work with a Professional Engineer toward P.E. registration.
